Ejectors are a reliable means of removing nitrogen, hydrogen and other impurities from molten metal and are used in steel and specialty alloy foundries to remove gasses and dissolved carbon which serve to contaminate and degrade metals. Croll Reynolds vacuum degassing systems operate in the range of 0.4- 0.5 mm Hg. Continous removal of gasses and particulate is effected as molten metal is exposed to vacuum. Croll Reynolds degassing systems are known for their reliable operation under extreme conditions.
